Stephen Michael O’Donnell has been involved with the Insurance and Automotive Aftermarket and Tow Industry for more than 20 years. His growth in the insurance industry began in 1988 when Liberty Mutual hired Stephen to handle its property damage and no-fault claims. In 1988, Stephen also graduated from Farleigh Dickinson University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting. He also became a Certified Public Accountant.
Within four years, Liberty Mutual promoted Stephen to Worker Compensation Claims Specialist and put him in charge of all national claims that could not be settled through normal channels. Stephen soon became the primary worker’s compensation contact and liaison for all large national accounts. In this position, he was named Premium Auditor for all middle market and national accounts with the authority to prepare claims for litigation as well as the authority to settle and close claims.
In 2000, Stephen moved to Universal Underwriters as an Account Executive, specializing in the Automotive Aftermarket and Tow. At Universal, Stephen made the President’s Club for seven consecutive years. He also achieved Universal’s Top Gun Award four times, making him the No. 1 sales executive growing his territory to more than $6,000,000.
In addition, Stephen participated in Universal’s Account Executive Training Program…a position limited only to executives achieving President Club status. Under Stephen’s tutelage, one of his trainees made the President’s Club during his first year.
Stephen lives in Rockaway, New Jersey, with his wife Pauline and their three children. As a former soccer player for Farleigh Dickinson, he now coaches soccer teams for youth groups.
